<p>As I&#8217;ve always found, writing the first 10,000 words of a novel is the toughest. Actually, the first act in general is tough. So much of it is finding your voice, finding your characters, and finding your plot underneath all the introductions and crap you have to do first. Once you reach a certain point, the act of writing becomes smoother.</p>
<p>In my case, I&#8217;ve also been very lazy and made of procrastination. I need to get into a writing routine, which I am slowly working on. Wish me luck.</p>

After three weeks of no writing — but plenty of stressing <i>over</i> writing — I managed to do 2,130 words in the span of three nights. Which is slow for me, but you know how it goes.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s also not very well edited. At all. So if this chapter lacks the quality of the first two, that would be why. One day I will either rewrite or heavily edit it, but for now? Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming!</p>
<p>Hopefully, after this, we can return to our regular schedule. Phew.</p>
