OMGWTFBBC, chapter five is finally up! After almost a month. A full month? I don’t know. I just know that it’s been far too long since I last updated and I swear I’m going to work on that. Really.

In other news: I have a job. It cuts into my writing time. Must learn to budget my hours. Boo.

Finally. Chapter four.

As I’ve always found, writing the first 10,000 words of a novel is the toughest. Actually, the first act in general is tough. So much of it is finding your voice, finding your characters, and finding your plot underneath all the introductions and crap you have to do first. Once you reach a certain point, the act of writing becomes smoother.

In my case, I’ve also been very lazy and made of procrastination. I need to get into a writing routine, which I am slowly working on. Wish me luck.

Finally! The third chapter! After three weeks of no writing — but plenty of stressing over writing — I managed to do 2,130 words in the span of three nights. Which is slow for me, but you know how it goes.

It’s also not very well edited. At all. So if this chapter lacks the quality of the first two, that would be why. One day I will either rewrite or heavily edit it, but for now? Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming!

Hopefully, after this, we can return to our regular schedule. Phew.

… but because of the heavy overhaul that has taken place at my domain, I haven’t finished the third chapter. I know, I know! Fail! It will be up as soon as possible.

Title unrelated, but the second chapter is up for view! I am thinking there will be weekly updates on Fridays. FreakAngels also updates on Fridays, which you should also be reading. Warren Ellis is a far better writer than I. (And FreakAngels has pictures!)

Still frightened of the serial novel concept. Not sure if I’ve gotten the hang of things yet. We’ll see!

The layout is up. The first chapter is up. Am I ready for people to start reading this? Probably not. Ask me again after I’ve put up another chapter or two. Or five.
